Neck:  1 piece Maple U-shape, although it doesn't seem to be as big as some of the "normal" 52 RI's that I've played.

Mods: 

• 2010-01-14: Changed the strap locks from vintage style to Schaller locking type

• 2010-01-23: Wanted to add a phase switch. Since the pots are 375k, I knew I wouldn't find a push/pull with the same value.  So I ordered a DPDT mini toggle switch from www.guitarpartsresource.com.  I also ordered  a new control plate (so I could keep the factory one), and an ashtray bridge cover just for grins since it didn't come with one.
